During my stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel, I appreciated the charming ambiance and the really good service from the staff. The hotel was undergoing some renovations, which I wasn't informed about beforehand, but I experienced no disruptions during my stay. While my initial room did not match my booking expectations, the staff addressed my concerns with understanding and offered a discount instead of a refund, which I appreciated. Overall, the experience was lovely, and the food and service during my dinner were delicious.

7.0/10

I had a charming stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel, noted for its quirky and historical ambiance (I loved the converted Victorian schoolhouse!). My room was comfortable and clean, offering a restful night's sleep. However, my breakfast experience left much to be desired, as service was slow and errors in my order hindered the morning. For the price, I expected a better dining experience.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and very clean, with a large comfortable bed ensuring a great night’s sleep. However, some elements felt a bit worn and in need of repair (perhaps some upgrades are on the horizon?).
Service
6.0
The reception staff were quite helpful during check-in, and I appreciated the friendly bar service. However, the breakfast service was frustratingly slow, with my order taking almost an hour and items being incorrect upon arrival (not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber).
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fabulous, making it easy to explore Dublin. It's within walking distance of many attractions, which was a big plus for me (I enjoyed strolling through the charming streets).
Dining
5.0
While the food was decent, the breakfast left much to be desired, taking far too long and missing items that I had ordered. This was very disappointing compared to my overall experience at the hotel (I really hoped for a delicious traditional Irish breakfast!).
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has a nice bar atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day out. However, I encountered some operational issues, such as limited access to facilities late at night, which made it feel less welcoming (having a nightcap was a challenge!).

7.4/10

My stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel was mostly enjoyable, thanks to the charming ambiance and friendly staff. However, the noise levels from neighboring rooms were a bit too disruptive for my liking. The food was definitely a highlight, especially the delicious breakfast options that made my mornings brighter.

Rooms
8.0
I had a spacious room that was well-appointed, but I could hear my neighbors quite clearly, which disrupted my peace. The cleanliness was great, though, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, though there were a couple of minor hiccups in terms of organization that could use some improvement. They were really accommodating, especially around breakfast timings.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s location was pretty great, making it easy for me to explore some nearby attractions. I loved being just outside the hustle and bustle of the city while still having good access to everything.
Dining
10.0
Dining was definitely a strong point—everything I tried was fantastic, especially the cooked-to-order breakfast. It felt like a treat to enjoy such delicious food to start my day.
Facilities
7.0
While the hotel offered standard facilities like room service, there was a charge for delivery that I wasn't expecting, which was a bummer. Still, the overall vibe and cleanliness made up for it.

My stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel was a good experience, with charming ambiance and a fantastic restaurant. However, some aspects of the room, like the decor and bathroom facilities, felt a bit worn. The staff was incredibly friendly, yet I encountered a slight aloofness during breakfast. Overall, it was a lovely place for a city break in Dublin.

Rooms

I found my room comfortable and spacious, with a lovely king-size bed, though the decor was somewhat tired, showing signs of wear. The bathroom, while decent, had peeling paint and could definitely use a refresh.
Service

The staff were engaging and helpful, going above and beyond in several instances, like securing a taxi for me. Nonetheless, I did feel a lack of warmth from the breakfast staff, which dampened the otherwise warm service experience.
Location

My stay at the Schoolhouse Hotel was a mix of good and disappointing moments. While I loved the hotel's charming architecture and spacious rooms, there were some maintenance issues that detracted from the overall experience. The dining options showcased good food, but breakfast left something to be desired. Overall, it has potential that could shine through with some attention to detail.

Rooms

I stayed in a nicely decorated room that felt spacious and comfortable, though it lacked certain amenities like towel racks and a fridge. This detracted from the overall convenience.
